Pipped at the post were the two tradies, Mark and Duncan, whose bold approach with wallpaper choices and furniture stylings saw them lose out by a single point.
DIY novices Phil and Amity came third with a respectable room, while Dan and Dani came a distant fourth for failing to follow heritage restoration guidelines and poor painting.
