Pagewood Sale

By Jess Groves

In Pagewood, one of the most up-and-coming areas in the eastern suburbs for young families, the generous sized house at 33 Wark Avenue with a large backyard fenced by candy-coloured palings was whisked off the market for $1.285 million. Agent Peter Bakas from Ray White Maroubra had been quoting $1.25 million to $1.3 million. Four people vied to be the owners of the home which had last sold for $910,000 in 2007.
Auctions will be progressively busier in coming weeks, peaking at the end of May and early June due to a rise in upcoming listings, said auctioneer Damian Cooley, who sold the Pagewood house.
