A LUCKY a local buyer got in just before the scheduled auction for 285 Storey St, Maroubra, snapping up the luxury home for $2.9 million on Saturday morning. Ray White agent Nader Hotait said there were four contracts out on the property, but the vendors took advantage of a strong offer before the auction. “It’s very rare to get a price in this range in the Maroubra postcode”, Mr Hotait said. The sale price was the suburb’s highest for the past 12 months. The median sale price in $1.1 million.
